INTRODUCING PLAYFLY UREC

Today, Playfly is proud to announce our latest product for the college esports community - Playfly UREC. 

While Playfly College Esports will continue to be the home of intercollegiate competition at Playfly, if you’re a college student who is simply looking for an organized place to play with your friends, whether your friends attend the same school or not, this is for you. 

An evolution of our former Open Plus division, Playfly UREC is an esports rec league designed specifically for full-time and part-time college students. No school or club affiliation is required. Compete in all of the biggest esports titles, against other similarly ranked college students, for just $10 per person (per season). Each season will feature several weeks of round robin play and a knockout playoff tournament, with rewards for the top teams.

“While an esports program or club on campus may have a few hundred players, we know that, on that same campus, there may be thousands, if not tens of thousands of gamers. Playfly UREC is for those players.” says Curtis Winger, Vice President of Esports Operations at Playfly. “Most collegiate conferences and leagues are geared towards players and teams representing their school in inter-school competition, just like traditional athletics, but there’s a hugely underserved community of players out there that just want to play. Think rec’ sports, but with esports.”
